Join Emirates Biotech as a Sales Development Manager and drive our mission to develop a profitable PLA bioplastics business. You'll play a crucial role in sales, market development, and marketing activities, creating and implementing processes to achieve ambitious goals. Based in Dubai, your focus will be on the UAE, Middle East, India, Turkey, and Europe, with frequent travel.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales: Manage relationships with converters, distributors, and brand owners. Define and execute the annual sales budget, set targets, and ensure profit margins.
- Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, align with strategic goals, collaborate with the CTO and Product Manager, and guide opportunities through the sales funnel.
- Market Intelligence: Understand the market size and value chain for plastics and bioplastics, providing a concise market overview.
- Market Development: Participate in trade shows, conferences, and engage with stakeholders to promote PLA, fostering collaborations and partnerships.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Economics or MBA, preferably with a technical degree.
- Minimum of ten years’ experience in sales and business development with a proven track record.
- Technical background with familiarity in the plastics value chain; experience in plastic packaging or food-service ware is an advantage.
- Entrepreneurial and agile mindset; ability to adapt in a fast-growing company.
- Team player with an understanding of Middle Eastern, Indian, and European cultures.
- Passion for sustainability and making a positive impact on the planet.
