Emirates Biotech L.L.C (“Emirates Biotech”, “we”, “us”) is a Single Owner Limited Liability Company that was established in 2023 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, having its business address at Boulevard Plaza Tower 1, Office 2803, Downtown, Dubai, UAE, phone number: +971-4-5857934, email address: info@emiratesbiotech.com. The principal activity of Emirates Biotech is general trading and the trading with plastics and nylon raw materials as well as basic industrial chemicals trading.
This privacy policy explains how we and our subsidiaries use any of your personal information we might collect and how you can limit our use of it.
1. How do we collect information?
1.1 We collect:
(1) Information directly from you when you provide us with your contact details in the “Ask us a Question Form” on our website.
(2) Information directly from you if you send us a job application and related information such as your CV via email.
(3) Information about your device (such as IP address, which is a numerical code to identify your device that can provide information about device type and the country, region or city where you are based).
2. How we use your information
2.1 We use the personal information that you provide for the purpose it has been provided to us, e.g. to reply to your “Ask us a Question Form”. We may disclose the personal information to other EMIRATES BIOTECH Group companies if this is required to fulfil the purpose, e.g. to answer your question. Any such EMIRATES BIOTECH Group company will also maintain the highest level of privacy and protect the personal information to the full extent. In addition, data may be shared with third parties in accordance with clause 6 below. We do not use your personal information for any other purpose, and we do not store this information. We may retain a copy of the questions on an anonymous basis for our own internal purposes.
2.2 We use the information about your device through the use of cookies (see 4 below):
(1) To recognise and remember you when you visit our website and better understand how you use our website; and to provide better user experience.
(2) To conduct analytics, so that we can gain a better understanding of people who are interested in our products, our services and our website. These cookies do not identify individuals and the information gathered is aggregated.
3. How we protect your Personal Information
We secure information you provide on computer servers in a controlled, secure environment, protected from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. We maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards in an effort to protect against unauthorized access, use, modification, and disclosure of personal information in our control and custody. However, no data transmission over the Internet or wireless network can be guaranteed.
Therefore, while we strive to protect your personal information, you acknowledge that (i) there are security and privacy limitations of the Internet which are beyond our control; (ii) the security, integrity, and privacy of any and all information and data exchanged between you and the website cannot be guaranteed; and (iii) any such information and data may be viewed or tampered with in transit by a third party, despite best efforts.
In the event we become aware that the security of the website has been compromised or users’ personal information has been disclosed to unrelated third parties as a result of external activity, including, but not limited to, security attacks or fraud, we reserve the right to take reasonably appropriate measures, including, but not limited to, investigation and reporting, as well as notification to and cooperation with law enforcement authorities. In the event of a data breach, we will make reasonable efforts to notify affected individuals if we believe that there is a reasonable risk of harm to the user as a result of the breach or if notice is otherwise required by law.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
4.1 Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device by websites that you visit. When we refer to “cookies” we include other technologies with similar purposes, such as tags and identifiers.
4.2 We use cookies for the following purposes:
(1) Necessary cookies: These are cookies thatare necessary to make websites work to respond to a transmission request and that allow us to deliver up website content in the correct format to your device and manage the network and security. Cookies will remember your settings preferences; to detect what device you are using and adapt how we present our services according to the screen size of that device.

5. Storing and accessing your personal information
5.1 We will only contact you to respond to questions using the contact details you provide to us either in the “Ask us a Question Form” on our website, or from your direct contact with us. We do not store your personal information and we will not contact you except in response to your inquiries.
6. Sharing your information
6.1 Selling your data: We do not sell or share your information with any third parties, other than as described here and in 4 above.
6.2 Legal Disclosures: We may disclose your personal information if we are required to do so by law, or if in good faith we believe such action is necessary to comply with the law a legal obligation.
6.3 Data processors: In common with most organisations, some of our functions using your personal information are outsourced to contractors (for example, CookieHub who manage our cookies consents or our other software providers). Any processing of personal information by these contractors will only be for these carefully defined purposes, and will be adequately and lawfully protected under contract, including requirements of confidentiality and data security.
7. Where we store your personal information
7.1 The personal information that we collect from you will sometimes be sent and stored outside the United Arab Emirates (“UAE”) in order to carry out the activities listed in clause 2, 3, 4 and 5.1 above (use of your information). Unless you specifically instruct us otherwise, this will always be subject to adequate safeguards as to the protection and security of your personal data.
7.2 We will only keep your personal information for as long as is necessary to fulfill the purpose for which we obtained your personal information and any other purpose permitted by law.
8. Your data protection rights
8.1 When processing your personal data, the UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45/2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (“DPL”) grants you certain rights as a data subject. In summary, they are:
(1) Right of access: You have the right to request confirmation as to whether personal data concerning you is being processed; if this is the case, you have a right to information about this personal data and to the information listed in detail in Art. 13 DPL.
(2) Right to rectification: You have the right to request without undue delay the rectification of any inaccurate personal data concerning you and, where applicable, the completion of any incomplete data.
(3) Right to erasure: You have the right to request that personal data concerning you be deleted without undue delay, provided that one of the reasons listed in detail in Art. 15 para. 2 DPL applies.
(4) Right to restriction of processing: You have the right to request the restriction of processing if one of the conditions listed in Art. 16 DPL applies, e.g. if you have objected to the processing, for the duration of the review by the controller.
(5) Right to data portability: In certain cases, which are listed in detail in Art. 14 DPL, you have the right to receive the personal data concerning you in a structured, common and machine-readable format or to request the transfer of this data to a third party.
(6) Right of withdrawal: If the processing of data is based on your consent, you are entitled to revoke your consent to the use of your personal data at any time in accordance with Art. 6 para. 2 DPL. Please note that the revocation is only effective for the future. Processing that took place before the revocation is not affected.
(7) Right of objection: If data is collected for direct marketing purposes, for conducting statistical surveys (unless necessary to achieve the public interest) or if the processing is in violation of the provisions of Art. 5 DPL, you have the right to object to the processing at any time. We will then no longer process the personal data.
(8) Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority: Pursuant to Art. 24 DPL, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority if you are of the opinion that the processing of data concerning you violates data protection provisions. The right of complaint may be asserted in particular before a supervisory authority in the state of your habitual residence, your place of work or the place of the alleged infringement.
8.2 You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights.

9. Application and changes to this Policy
9.1 We reserve the right to modify this Policy or its terms related to the website at any time at our discretion. When we do, we will revise the updated date at the bottom of this page. We may also provide notice to you in other ways at our discretion, such as through the contact information you have provided.
9.2 An updated version of this Policy will be effective immediately upon the posting of the revised Policy unless otherwise specified. Your continued use of the website after the effective date of the revised Policy will constitute your consent to those changes. However, we will not, without your consent, use your personal information in a manner materially different than what was stated at the time your personal information was collected.
